Hey, I’m Ashley Singer!

Currently, I am working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Apparel and Merchandising with a concentration in Apparel Design and Production at Colorado State University. Even though I have always been interested in fashion and its history, the first time I sat down at a sewing machine was my first year of college, when I took the entry-level sewing class for the Apparel and Merchandising program. While somewhat inexperienced, the skill of sewing came quickly to me, and it turned out to be one of my favorite things to do. During my time in college, I’ve developed skills in patternmaking, sewing, CAD, fashion illustrations, merchandising processes, and product development; a design of mine even appeared in the 2024 Spring fashion show hosted by the department. One of the biggest goals I am working towards and want to achieve in my career is to make the fashion industry more size-inclusive.

When I am not working on advancing my skills in apparel design, I enjoy going to antique stores looking for uranium glass, vintage clothing, and design inspiration. Additionally, I like to sit back and relax by reading a book and hanging out with my three cats.
